“Cold. The frost burns my body, sliding on the shells of my soul. A blanket of snow covers me, and doesn’t let me go. My legs are fasted in the drifts. I hear my breath breaking through the mortal frost. The grey sky sags down. The frost burns me…” J. Komaritsa “King in the Thicket”
Pole of Cold is the place on Earth with the lowest recorded temperature. Russian station Vostok in Antarctica is the Pole of Cold in the Southern Hemisphere, Verkhoyansk and Oymyakon in Siberia are Poles of Cold in the Northern Hemisphere. The part of the road track in the immediate vicinity of the Pole of Cold in Oymyakon is called the “Road of Bones”.
Follow us this night on the Road of Bones all the way to the Pole of Cold, with the minimal sounds, piercing through the body, synth waves frozen in time, hypnotic rhythms resonating in the heart, and mystical visuals from the cold worlds. Let the winter night absorb us and break us into splinters of ice. Let us see Aurora painted in the skies.
